Elizabeth I. (Schwartz) McCully, 82, of Clarksburg, passed away on Monday, February 04, 2013 at Keeper of The Flame, Blairsville.
Born July 24, 1930 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late August John Schwartz and Helen Irene (Dowling) Schwartz.
Elizabeth lived in Clarksburg since 1967, and was a 1948 graduate of Penn Hills High School. She worked as a Key Punch Operator for Jiffy Steak Company, and in Data Entry at Indiana Hospital, retiring in 1985. Elizabeth was a member of St. Matthew's Church in Saltsburg.
She enjoyed travelling the world with her late friend Clara Beni, and playing Pinochle with friends and neighbors. But she most liked spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband: Donald J. McCully, a brother: Harold Schwartz, and a sister: Jean Intorre.
She is survived by her daughters: Diane J. (Robert) Smith of Clarksburg, Donna J. (Ronald) Syster of Penn Run, Denise J. (Randy) Pierce of Clarksburg, grandchildren: Lorraine, Clinton, Megan, Kayla, Tyler, great granddaughter: Leah & Carley Jean, sister: Dolores (David) McCall of Slippery Rock, brother: James Schwartz of Aurora, CO, and nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 2 to 4 & 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Curran Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 701 Salt St., Saltsburg. A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held to honor Elizabeth's life Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial takes place Friday, February 8, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew's Church in Saltsburg with Father Salvatore Lamendola as Celebrant. Interment in St. Matthew's Cemetery, Saltsburg.
